AWWA (American Water Works Association) butterfly valves are used for shutoff on clean water and gases.
They are designed to provide long life, low headloss and trouble-free performance. 4Matic Butterfly valves meet AWWA C504 and C516 standard.

This standard establishes minimum requirements for rubber-seated butterfly valves, 3 in. (75 mm) through 72 in.
The valve is designed to clamp between two flanges in your pipe work.
Most wafer butterfly valves fit the majority of flange standards.
The rubber or EPDM valve seat creates an exceptionally strong seal between the valve and flange connection.
Even wafer style valves require 2 flanges. These should be the same size as your valve and may be one piece or loose ring style flanges.
This will allow the surrounding pipe line to connect snugly with the butterfly valve. Most butterfly valves do not require extra gaskets.
Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coatng and EPDM rubber are used for valves to be used for in direct contact with
potable (drinking) water, while all other components in contact with water being of Stainless Steel.
Buterfly valves fully compliant to AWWA C504 standards. We produce this valves with following

Corrosion Resistant Shaf
Shafs are ASTM A276 304 or 316 stainless steel. High strength stainless steel
shaf is used for 250 psi pressure conforming to AWWA C504 standard.
Disc is available in either ductle iron with stainless steel sealing edge or all stainless steel. The spherical design permit efficient sealing.
Body is available in cast iron or cast steel. Flange dimensions conform to ASME B16.1 cIass 125 or class 250
Corrosion Resistant Shaf
Shaf is made of ASTM A 276 304 or High strength stainless steel. Upper
and Lower pieces of shafs fully comply with the design requirements
of AWWA C504 Class 150B.
Self-Sealing Y-type or V-type rings can provide excellent sealing, low
abrasion, long service life when fluid pressure increases.
Disc-shaf connecton is achieved by use of stainless steel pins and
self-locking nuts or pin free design, that transmits the required torque
and insures strong connecton between disc and shaf performing in
all conditons without loosening the disc-shaf connecton.
The dome-shaped disc reduces the resistance to the fluid and enhances
its strength to be more reliable in service.
NSF approved EPDM Rubber is used for seat material for applicatons
requiring contact with Potable (drinking) water. The seat is designed
to allow field removal/replacement.
Body is made of ASTM A536 cast iron or cast steel flange dimensions
conform to ASME B16.1 Class I25 or Class 250.
